Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Engaged?

Speaking on a TV show Wednesday night, February 27, singer Ashlee Simpson admitted that the bling on her ring finger was a promise ring from her boyfriend Pete Wentz.

Ashlee, who appeared on Fuse TV's The Sauce to promote her upcoming album Bittersweet World, then clarified,

"It just means that he hasn't asked my Dad yet..."

Ashlee's father Joe Simpson, who is also her manager, is rumored to keep a tight leash on her personal life.

Ashlee, younger sister of singer Jessica Simpson, has been dating Fall Out Boy bassist Wentz for over a year now.
