As if recovery from lip-syncing wasn't tough enough, Ashlee Simpson now stands accused of having an "accidental" fling with Lindsay Lohan's ex, Wilmer Valderrama -- the accidental part because Simpson was supposed to be trying to get Lohan and Valderrama back together at the time, says Star magazine, one of our favorite questionable sources.

Star also reports that Ashlee dated Nick Carter while he was together with Paris Hilton, contributing to that split. Plus, she recently broke up with boyfriend Ryan Cabrera. At least she'll always have her musical talent! No, wait: In an unrelenting slam, Star claims that a pricey voice coach hired to work with Simpson "threw up his hands in frustration and left" on day one.


No dirrty-girl stuff for Christina Aguilera on her wedding day, says the London Mirror. The 24-year-old plans to wear a "conservative" dress for her wedding to music exec Jordan Bratman, says the paper. "I want white and kind of traditional," she said. We suspect that "kind of" still leaves room for improvisation.


Nevermind the catfight -- make that dogfight -- between Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. London's Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Britney dissed Hilton's Chihuahua, Tinkerbell, by claiming that her own three dogs "are stylin' and profilin'. ... Von Dutch just sent them the coolest little clothes. My dogs are so much cuter than Tinkerbell (Ruff! Ruff!)." Now Brit has backtracked, saying on her Web site that "I hope none of you really took my comments seriously when I was talking about Bit Bit and Tinkerbell. I was just being silly and of course I think that Tinkerbell is very cute."


You have it here from the Oprah's mouth: While tabloid reports have put the dieting superstar's weight at 140 pounds, it's actually 163, Winfrey says in the latest O magazine. "I haven't been that low (140) since 7th grade, OK?" she wrote. As part of an overall commitment to good living, Winfrey is working on a three-month exercise and diet "boot camp" with some co-workers. She hopes to get her weight down to somewhere in the 150s, where "I'm not just a meal or vacation away from slipping to the other side and having to fight my way back."

Even we cynical gossipeteers have a soft spot for Oprah, because she tells her readers things like this: When you say that you're too busy to exercise because you have to be there for the kids, or you have too much work, "those are little lies you're telling yourself, and they go against the laws of self-preservation, because the more whole and healthy you are, the more fully you can give to other people."


Actress Rosario Dawson tells Hollywood Life magazine that she hadn't seen "Sex and the City" much before she started dating the show's Jason Lewis, her squeeze of the past eight months. When she checked him out on screen, she said, she was surprised to see "how naked he is, and how often he's naked on the show. Well, no wonder people were swooning over him." And, while we're fans ourselves of the IMDb.com Web site, Rosario insists that, site's info to the contrary, she does not at all like being called "Rosie." She says "That's one of the most ridiculous things. I've tried to change it, but I guess they don't believe I'm me. I guess I'm not a good enough source of information."
