Pop star ASHLEE SIMPSON is following in the footsteps of HALLE BERRY and PAMELA ANDERSON - by declaring she has a crush on British TV presenter STEVE JONES.

The Welsh heart-throb hit the headlines in 2003 when CATWOMAN beauty Berry gave him her phone number following an interview on his CHANNEL 4 show T4.

Last year (04), lothario Jones reportedly spent the night in Anderson's hotel room following a flirty interview on T4, when he asked the busty beauty for kissing lessons.

And now it seems Simpson, who has an on/off relationship with rocker RYAN CABRERA, is smitten with Jones as well.

She gushes, "British guys are gorgeous. I think T4's Steve Jones is hot."
